The calling of Jesus to Peter, Andrew, James, John and the rest of the twelve apostles has been in my blood since the day I was born again into a new life with Jesus. I have lots of room for improvement on how to best approach and help people be saved. I might be extremely effective if I live to be 150 years old! But there is no lacking in my desire to help people spiritually.
“From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and He called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.” (Matthew 4:17-22)
Time flies. Life is short. It all happens in the blink of an eye. Months turn into years and years turn into decades. Before you know it we are standing face to face in glory with our Lord Jesus. We must make every minute count and be focused to help others be saved by Jesus. We want to go to heaven AND we want to bring as many people with us as we can. That may take us to foreign fields but we need to begin in our own home, and then to those at work, in our neighborhood, etc.
Read Romans 1:14-17 and listen to In the Blink of an Eye by MercyMe. Then pray for God to open doors for you to share your faith. Invite people to church. Bring others with you to heaven. Pray for God to help you be purpose driven to help others be saved.

I am under obligation both to Greeks and to the uncultured, both to the wise and to the foolish. So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
