1. Simply Christians.
We call ourselves simply “Christians.” Our authority in spiritual matters is Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God. Even the preacher and elders have no authority, but only a responsibility to teach the Bible and to help people grow in their relationship with God. We have no earthly headquarters – our headquarters is in heaven. We have no creed books – the Bible is our only guide (Matthew 28:18-20).
2. Salvation is by Grace through Faith.
There is nothing we can do to deserve to be close to God. Salvation is a gift from God that is received by our faith. (Ephesians 2:1-9). When we trust Jesus as our Savior and surrender to Him as Lord, by faith we are baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:36-41). The Holy Spirit then marks us as God’s children and we receive the eternal inheritance of heaven (Ephesians 1:13-14). As children of God we strive to be rich in works of faith, loving others and living holy lives (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 2:11-14; 3:3-8).
3. Our worship is for the glory of God.
Every Sunday, as we take the Lord’s Supper together, we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and its powerful effect on us for salvation. We hear Biblical preaching, sing, study, pray, and give financially for the ongoing work of Christ’s church. We invite you to join us to whatever degree you feel comfortable.
4. We share the gospel with others.
We share God’s word, but leave the judging to Him. Becoming a Christian is a personal choice, so we don’t pressure, but present Jesus’ salvation in a spirit of love.
