“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse(skies) is declaring the work of His hands” (Psalm 19:1). Look up at the sun, moon, stars and clouds – it’s as if they are ‘bellaring’ at us, “LOOK AT HOW AWESOME AND AMAZING GOD IS – SEE IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES”. Paul writes similarly, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they(mankind) is without excuse” (Romans 1:20). In other words, it won’t do any good for an atheist, agnostic, evolutionist, or anyone else to stand before Jesus on the day of judgment and say, “I would have believed in You and obeyed You but how was I supposed to know You even existed!?” We have MORE than enough evidence because God created the world in such an amazing way that we can use our senses to know He exists. We have eyes to see a breathtaking sunset, ears to hear the birds chirping and whistling, noses to smell the roses, etc. Then by faith we move toward asking our loving Father to adopt us as His children in Christ. Going outside in God’s living room and looking up can change our disposition and our spiritual position. Even if we are distraught we can still be amazed by His creation and see our problems in a different “light” as we look at God’s lights. Read Psalm 8 and then listen to Amazed by Kutless.

Psalm 8

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Spread the love
