One Way

There is only one way to have a salvation relationship with the Lord and that is through Jesus Christ. Only Jesus is qualified to be the holy, unblemished, perfect sacrifice to take away our sins. There is only one way to be saved – one way – through Jesus. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me”.

But there is another manner in which we talk about Jesus as “One Way”. Those who have a relationship with Jesus want to live for Him because His way is the right way. If we want true joy, happiness, peace and serenity we will live the “One Way” of Jesus. He will never lead us down a path of misery and depression; rather, His way leads to beautiful eternal life.

Satan temps us and distracts us and leads us down many wrong paths. He dupes us into thinking the way joy, happiness, and peace and serenity is through money, sex, entertainment, drugs and alcohol, work, and even slothfulness. Ultimately they lead us to misery and depression.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the best way to live is to go the way of Jesus. Jesus leads the way and our Father knows best. Read Philippians 4:4-13 and then watch and listen to a beautiful video entitled One Way by Phillips, Dean & Craig.

Philippians 4:4-13

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked an opportunity to act. Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
