Almost Home

I don’t even know what to write after watching the video on this song. It communicates one of the most powerful messages I have ever heard/seen in a song/video. You will want to watch it more than once. The message is what following Jesus is all about – one day we will be home with the Lord in the glory of heaven. The more we focus on our goal of glory the more we yearn for heaven and the more we want to live for such a loving, generous, merciful God.

Read Philippians 3:20-21 and Hebrews 11:13-16 and then watch the video. After that, focus on the fact that because you belong to Jesus you are almost home.

Philippians 3:20-21

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Hebrews 11:13-16

All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of that country which they left, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
