Welcome!  We're glad you found our website and encourage you to visit us for worship services and to hear what the Bible has to say to us today. You'll meet friendly people who love the Lord and love others.

Today we continue studying the subject of prayer. In preparing your heart for the lesson today please contemplate the following quotes:

  • Prayer is not meant to try to change the will of God, it is meant to find the will of God, to align or realign ourselves with His purposes for His world and for us. That is why it is at least as important for us to listen as to speak in prayer.
  • The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.
  • To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.
  • Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.
  • Prayer is the key of the morning and bolt of the evening.
  • Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger people! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for power equal to your tasks.
