Heaven

What’s on your mind today pilgrim?  Fear of getting Coronavirus?  How you are going to pay the bills?  Will things settle down soon so we can take that trip we planned?  When are we going to be able to sit down in a restaurant or go to the movies?  How about this one: When’s the last time you focused and meditated and dreamed of going to heaven?  Can you see the glory of heaven in your mind’s eye?  How about we fixate and concentrate on heaven today?  After all, that is God’s goal for us.  How beautiful heaven must be!  Read Philippians 3:20-4:1 and Revelation 21:1-5.  Then listen to a beautiful song that will help us.  It is simply entitled: Heaven by Blanca.

Philippians 3:20-4:1

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

Revelation 21:1-5

A New Heaven and a New Earth

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
