The apostle Paul makes some encouraging and challenging statements in his letters. But none is filled with more theology to address our lives “in Christ” than Galatians 2:20. Paul states that he has been crucified with Christ = he has died to the old life. Then he says he still lives BUT it is Christ who lives in him. Life is no longer about Paul – it is about living by faith in Jesus. Paul knew Jesus loved him personally and died for him. We need to know the same thing – Jesus loves you and died for you. That alone provides plenty of motivation to live for Jesus. Here’s something different for you to do today: Instead of reading multiple verses or an entire chapter, I want to encourage you to memorize one verse: Galatians 2:20. Keep it is your heart and repeat it often. Listen to Christ in Me by Jeremy Camp.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
