Welcome!  We're glad you found our website and encourage you to visit us for worship services and to hear what the Bible has to say to us today. You'll meet friendly people who love the Lord and love others.

Blink

Time flies so we need to make the most of every day and take advantage of every open-door opportunity the Lord presents to us to bless others.  Christians do not want to squander the time the Lord has given them to live on the earth; rather, we want to make a mark in this world, especially with the people we love most.  We want to leave a mark so that future generations will be positively impacted by our efforts to serve Jesus as Lord. Jesus said, “Let your light shine in such a way that men may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).  Life goes quickly – it happens in a BLINK.  One man said, “The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it”.   If we live sloppy and slothful with our allotted time from God in an instant decades will have passed us by.  Live like every day may be your last so that you live it to the fullest for the Father.  It is a fun, exciting way to live – and a great way to die. Read Psalm 103:15-18; 104:4; James 4:13-14; I Peter 5:10 and then listen to Blink by Revive.

P.S. Imagine if you took a few minutes each day to forward these morning scripture/song devotionals to co-workers, family, friends, etc.?  How hard is that?  Maybe they will help a loved one come closer to Jesus. Maybe when this crazy virus goes away they will come to visit Walnut Hill Church of Christ and one day go to heaven.

P.P.S. – Wednesday night we should study out who the 144,000 are in Revelation 7.  Are you one of them?

Psalm 103:15-18

The life of mortals is like grass,
    they flourish like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

Psalm 104:4

He makes winds his messengers,
    flames of fire his servants.

James 4:13-14

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

1 Peter 5:10

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
