“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). Is that how you think and live out your faith? Is God’s word a lamp to your feet and a light to your path? Is the word of God directing every step you take?
I love God’s word. I trust God’s word. I want God’s way and God’s will to direct my life. The problem is, like other Christians, we get sidetracked sometimes.
God’s word is like a spiritual GPS that directs our lives. The problem is sometimes we don’t use GPS and we end up going down the wrong road. Not too long ago I was on the phone (hands free) while driving and stayed on 635W when I should have switched to 161S. Not only did I go the wrong way, there was an accident up ahead and I got stuck in traffic for an hour!
That’s the way my life goes when I neglect to spend time in God’s word OR neglect to seek God’s word for answers in my life when I have struggles. Maybe you can identify with me on that – especially you men drivers!
Read Luke 8:1-15. Then listen to Ancient Words. After that, turn on your spiritual GPS to make sure you’re going the right way today.
