Brand New Day

How about a brand new day this Sunday? It will seem like a fresh start after seven longggggg months of not being able to worship together because of the coronavirus. Let’s make the most of it and worship the Lord God Almighty together at 10:00 a.m. Even though things will not be exactly like they were earlier this year, it is a step in the right direction to getting back together the way God intended it to be. Before you know it we will be “back in the saddle again”.

Of course, if you have underlying health conditions you need to use wisdom. We will still live-stream our worship so those who are unable to attend in person can still worship God with us. It’s like we will worship in different places together – I think that’s possible. Then we long for that final day of the Lord when we will be united in glorious eternity.

Read II Corinthians 5:14-21 and listen to Brand New Day by Fireflight. See you Sunday one way or the other.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
