The Power of the Word of God

“All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (II Timothy 3:16-17).

Living the Christian life helps us confirm that we are on the right track. Praying to God helps us depend on Him more. But along with these and other aspects of Christianity there is the great need to hear from God.

Without God’s Word ministering to us we will starve to death spiritually.
Too many times we struggle in our faith and become frustrated. We feel like we are dying on the vine. We just can’t seem to reclaim that spiritual high we were on in the past. The answer to getting back on track is spending time studying your Bible. I’m not talking about reading words. I’m talking about studying, meditating and applying the text to your life. Have a personal relationship with God on the basis of His Word. Know that He is speaking to you, addressing your needs by comforting, rebuking, correcting, etc. I have seen God’s Word bring about change in my own life and in the lives of countless others.

Are you hurting spiritually? Wish you were doing better in your faith? Feel like you’re hanging by a thread? Pick up your Bible and allow God to speak to you on a personal basis.

There is no substitute for the nutrition you get from the Bible. Believe it – there is power in the Word of God to change your life!
