Welcome to Jesus Place

Awana Children’s Program

Awana Clubs 3

The Awana Children’s Program is provided at Walnut Hill Church of Christ on Wednesday nights, during the school year, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  To assist parents on busy school nights, food is provided at 6:00.  We invite all parents to attend class in the auditorium while their children are in the Awana program.

Our goal is for parents and the church to work together to teach God’s Word across kids’ formative years and to produce young adults marked by steadfast biblical faith and character.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” (Deut 6:6-9)

Awana Prayer:  That all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Principles of Awana:

1. Awana is centered on the gospel.

2. Scripture memory is key.

3. Awana is fun and exciting.

4. Children and youth are trained to serve.

5. Awana is built on strong leadership.
